ABOUT ME

Camilla Fotidar Bsc ( Hons ) Osteopathy

My story

Camilla is an experienced Osteopath who began her career in 1994 working as a massage therapist in one of London’s top health clubs; she continued this work while studying to become an Osteopath.
In 2000, Camilla graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in London and not long after, had the opportunity to move to New Zealand where she worked for several years and opened up her own clinic. Here, she saw a wide variety of patients from office workers to the New Zealand swim squad; Camilla also taught undergraduate Osteopaths at UNITEC Auckland.
Camilla’s enjoyment of travel took her to Perth in Western Australia and then on to Melbourne. Working in these different clinics and with different practitioners has played a huge positive influence on Camilla’s approach to patients and treatment.
After the birth of their second child Camilla and her partner decided to make the UK home.
Camilla has a particular interest in how stress and tension manifests in the body and especially enjoys treating headaches and sinus issues. A keen runner herself, Camilla has enjoyed helping patients competing in a variety of sporting activities including the London and Brighton marathons, she also understands the importance of balance in life and has practised Iyengar Yoga to help achieve this. Camilla’s philosophy is to work with you, combining soft tissue work with Osteopathic treatment and giving exercise and advice to help balance your body and function at your most optimum. Camilla’s approach is ideally suited to acute and chronic conditions as well as regular maintenance treatments.
In her spare time Camilla enjoys most sports but particularly running or walking in the countryside, she is a wary kite boarder and more recently a novice stand up paddler. She loves cooking, listening to music and playing her guitar or piano. Camilla is a Mum to two young children who often accompany her on adventures.
